Maintenance Worker & Donation Driver POSITION AVAILABLE

Title: Maintenance Worker & Donation Driver

Reports to: Operations Manager

Compensation Status: Part-time – hourly

Hours: 20 hours/week, Monday – Friday, may include an occasional Saturday

General Summary: The primary purpose of this 20 hours/week position is to help maintain the facility with general repairs as needed and to provide pick-up services for donated furniture and food. This is primarily a Monday-Friday position; however, an occasional Saturday may be required.

 

Essential Job Functions:

1. Perform general repairs inside and outside the building

2. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing HVAC filters

3. Perform yard work and help in garden as needed

4. Inform Operations Manager when property is damaged or in need of repair

5. Pick up furniture and food/other donations as scheduled the Operations Manager

6. Take vehicles in for routine oil changes or other scheduled maintenance

7. Help stock Pantry shelves and coolers and freezers as needed

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

1. Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems

2. Ability to drive a larger vehicle

3. Ability to work with a wide variety of people

4. Experience using hand and electric tools

5. Ability to work independently

6. Good time management skills

7. Great customer service skills

8. Ability to operate an electric pallet walker preferred but not required

 

Education and Experience:

1. High school diploma preferred

2. Valid driver’s license and auto insurance

Physical Requirements:

1. Hearing and vision must be correctable to within normal ranges

2. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
